First up.......Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Although we have some prizes for raffles, we are certainly open to more if anyone is able to acquire some that we are able to use.  Get with President Steve Ross or a board member to get yourself signed up.  This should be an awesome time for everyone and we look forward to seeing you there!

Building Update

As of now, we are finally progressing forward with seeking financing from Moose International.  It took some time to go through all the red tape of being denied at local banks so that we could seek the better option of Moose International as they are far more likely to have a vested interest in our success versus a local or national bank.  With that T crossed and that I dotted, we have questions out to MI regarding the interest rates and loan types that are available to us.  Additionally, we are putting together the presentation we need to get full approval and hope to have some information sooner than later.

At this time, Bill Miller has started moving forward with the groundwork for the exterior awnings at the various doorways and we have approved to purchase a connex where we can store the impressive amount of physical donations we've received.  In addition to some very nice chairs and actual tables, we have some additional items to include everything from wood blinds, ceiling fans, bar stools and additional tables as well as several TV's for our use.

The short version is, once the financing is approved, the remainder of the project should be relatively quick from what we are understanding.  As I believe it to be, we are still hoping to hear about a bid on the fire suppression system.

Although we understand that all of our members are growing impatient, bear in mind that we are just as frustrated as we try to make this entire project come to fruition.  Please bear with us and know that we are trying our best to take every step to get where we ALL want to be.  Once again, I want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all who have stuck with us.  We know who you are and I can't wait to share what some of our plans are for thanking those who've stuck it out this whole time.  Our children and Mooseheart and our Seniors at Moosehaven still benefit from your continued membership and that is always a worthy goal.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

It's almost that time again

Once again, we are coming up on officer elections.  If you are interested in running for a position, please make sure to put it in writing and get it to the board.  Include the position you wish to run for and your Moose ID number.  The nominating committee with start soon enough, so don't wait until the last moment.  Past-Governors/Presidents, remember that you are a part of the nominating committee, so reach out if you are able to attend so that you can be informed about their meeting times and places.  The nominating committee will be the ones to review the submissions for all who wish to run.  Any active member who belongs to the Moose Legion or the Women's Chapter (anywhere) is eligible to run as long as their Lodge and Higher Degree memberships are current.  Higher Degree is defined as being active in Moose Legion or WOTM.  The location of the chapter is irrelevant.  Please get your submissions in as soon as possible so that any interviews and such can be scheduled and considered as soon as meeting times and dates are established.

Community Service and Heart of Community Report

Despite the lack of a physical Lodge, we are still working within our community as members for the betterment of all of Arizona City and much of the surrounding area.  Whether it be Citizens On Patrol or working hand-in-hand with the Fire Department on this or that project, we are still active.  I would love to hear more about what is being done by our membership so that I can report these activities to Moose International during the quarterly Heart of the Community report.  Every little thing counts for more than many people realize.  It could be simply helping at the libary or the food pantry, or working with the Veterans or schools, organizing fundraisers for Boys & Girls Club or donations to individual families and organizations for any cause.  Please let me know or another officer know about it so that we can get you and/or the Lodge recognized for the efforts of our members.
