and every chair needs a committee group, so, even if you don't want to run the show, you can always be of assistance to those who are willing to try.
The mission of every Lodge and its Board has many elements. In addition to ensuring the solvency of operations within the Lodge, they work to ensure that we meet the goals set forth in our Charter to help provide for our children and Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven. As a charitable fraternal order, we are much more than what happens in the Social Quarters. The officers have a valued responsibility to keep those goals in mind throughout their term of service.
Every February, the announcement comes to let the general membership know that the Nomination Committee has been formed and will accept letters for those stating an interest in becoming a board member. A letter must be written stating the office desired and the Moose ID member of the potential candidate. The member must be in good standing and also be a member of the Moose Legion or any Chapter of the WOTM. Other qualifications may pertain to certain positions, so please feel free to ask. Contact the committee chairman for the Nominating Committee or any officer to present your letter of intent. Following elections, the incoming or incumbent officers will be installed prior to May 1st.
